How do dragons collect that much gold?
Like, even if you had an existing pile of gold you wanted to move to the cave, and you had backhoes and dump trucks, it would take a lot of time to move that much gold. But imagine if the gold wasn't already in a convenient pile, and it was scattered around the countryside. That's a lot of sifting! And then you have to carry it like a claw-ful at a time??
Plus, gold is very heavy. Difficult to fly while carrying much of it!

This poll got way more responses than I expected and my main takeaway is that the fediverse is either living precariously and anxiously on the edge or is extremely on top of its shit, and is unfortunately more the former than the latter
I don't remember the exact post, but someone described the Fediverse as "people posting through it instead of going to therapy", and I felt that in my soul.

Over the weekend, a person armed with a coding agent opened **479** pull requests against the Password Manager Resources project. As open source maintainers, what are we supposed to do about this?
All of the justification prose is written in clear AI dialect, with awkward phrasing. The normal benefit of the doubt I am able to give to contributors of the project, including that the changes they’re submitted are motivated by something that makes sense, are out the window.

1) I work from home in Amsterdam. If you are also in Amsterdam, I can physically appear before you on a regular basis.
2) I am not at this exact second a Dutch citizen but I'm working on getting that sorted and finally getting my US passport shredded. I came into the country on a skilled worker visa. I can read Dutch easily and speak it okay
3) I am an infosec expert with a lot of experience reviewing C/C++ source code but I am open to tangentially related roles like malware analysis or optimization analysis, I'd like something fresh
4) I am an intermediate reader of Chinese who is constantly studying, improving, and interested in a role where being able to read Chinese is helpful.
This is more really important reporting here. It's not enough to just warn of the privacy risks, 404 is out there proving that it's actually happening.
